My grandparents, Merritt and Lois Brown, built their dream home at 1136 Route 776 in Grand Harbor in 1946 . It is a white stucco house. The only one of its kind on the Island.

We are now renting out this charming three bedroom home to guests. Gram loved socializing and having a house full. The upstairs is one big bedroom. It has a queen and a single bed as well as two built in desks, built in dresser and lots of floor space for children to play on. The two bedrooms on the main floor each have one queen bed. All bedding ( 230 thread count sheets) is included.

There is a four piece washroom on the main floor with ample towels and face cloths. Just beside it is a laundry room with washer and dryer. It includes a full size closet and drawers for extra pillows, blankets and storage room for suitcases etc.

The living room has a 26" floor model cable television with remote. Its best feature, however, is the dark walnut upright piano that belonged to my grandmother.

The sunporch, in my youth, was an open veranda. It has since been closed in with picture windows. It is a great place to retreat to with a good book.

The back yard boasts a cloths line for hanging out your cloths in the fresh air. It also has a badminton net, the "skill full" game of ladders, croquet and a fire pit complete with wood.
