Machias Seal Island

July, August and September are the whale-watching months. Tours run from half to full days on the water, watching these majestic animals. Most tours offer a "money back" guarantee if no whales are sighted. For more information about whales and other things of interest Click Here.

There are numerous hiking trails which will take you along the cliffs or to a fresh-water pond. There is an excellent""Trail Guide Book""available which shows maps of the trails, provides time estimates and the degree of difficulty.

Remember, when coming to Grand Manan, the ferry is operated on a "first come - first served" basis. Reservations can be made 24 hours in advance when leaving the island. The Grand Manan Tourist Information Center is in the Grand Manan Museum  located at 1141 Route 776 about 12km south from the ferry. Here you will find wonderful information about our Island.  

Our home/office is located 20km (12 miles) from the ferry terminal. As you enter the village of Seal Cove you will see a golf course on your right. At the same time you are going down a small hill.  At the bottom of the hill there is a side road to your left - Red Point Road. We are #70 - 7/10ths of a km up on your right.
